The smaller your size, the wider the overlapping edges will be. The larger your size, the less fabric will overlap.
For larger sizes, to prevent the skirt from opening too much, you can pin the opening or wear a petticoat.

Washing instructions: Hand wash in warm water with a mild detergent, or machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30 degrees max. Do not spin. Do not bleach.
To dry the garment, hang it on a hanger and let it dry in the shade. To iron the garment, use a low heat setting, ironing with the pleats closed. (If the fabric is ironed with the pleats open, the garment will be ruined !)
